          12.Shijue Temple

              

            Shijue Temple is “Guangdong Key Cultural Relics Protection Units” and “Yangjiang Cultural Relics Scenic Spot”. Situated at southeast bank of Moyang River, it is 1 kilometers away from Yangjiang urban area and is built at the site of former Kaiyuan Temple in Tang Dynasty, which was first built in 1423 AD (the twentieth year of Yongle in Ming Dynasty). Shijue Temple was rebuilt in 1986 and attracted 68,000 tourists in 2005. The word “Shijue Temple” was written by the president of Chinese Buddhists Association Zhao Puchu. The total area is 6700 square meters. There are palaces, temples, gloriettes in this scenic spot and the generic terms of these are “Shijue Buddhist Temple”. Lots of people go to incense and pray there and many monks live there. Besides, many writers and poets travel there.
